Lenoir North Carolina Aerial Lenoir

The Greater Hickory Metro, once known as the Unifour, is located in four counties; Catawba, Burke, Alexander and Caldwell. Caldwell county is located on the western edge of the Brushy Mts, southern edge of Blowing Rock, northern edge of Lake Rhodhiss and the eastern edge of Morganton and Lenoir is the county seat. This town of approximately 18,000 people has a rich heritage of artistry in furniture and boasts some of the biggest names in the business, such as Bernhardt, Broyhill, Hammary, Fairfield Chair, La-Z-Boy, Thomasville, and Kincaid. Google landed in Lenoir in 2007 with a server farm. And speaking of farms, this area is home to many nurseries as you'll see when driving through the 'bottom lands' near the mountain rivers and streams filled with native trees and shrubs. Lenoir is also know for sculture! It has the largest collection of permanent public outdoor sculptures of any county of its population in the US. Lenoir is the place to live if you love nature, too, with hiking, fishing, boating, biking, birding, hunting....Lenoir is a great place to call home.
