Leeward Point

Leeward Point is a waterfront community in River Hills area near Sandbar Cove in Taylorsville of Alexander county on the north side of Lake Hickory. This neighborhood was first platted in 1969 with 40 lots. The city of Hickory provides water to the neighborhood while owners care for their individual septic systems. Minimum square foot requirements are 1500 heated with #1 materials and no trailers. Only county taxes are collected currently at at rate of .833 per $100 (2022) of the tax assessment. The lake views from this area are phenomenal of the main channel.
